Harvey Mellar's early academic work was concerned with computer modelling in education and computer based collaborative learning. His present research interests are concerned with the implementation of Technology Enhanced Learning in Higher Education (and in particular the role of quality assurance and quality enhancement), formative e-assessment and the place of technology in learning and teaching Adult Basic Skills.
