Name: Dr Sven Helmer
About: Sven Helmer is a Lecturer of Computer Science in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems at Birkbeck. His research interests include native XML database systems (focusing on query optimisation and multi-user synchronisation), as well as object-relational and fuzzy database systems (focusing on index structures and query optimisation). He is also interested in interdisciplinary projects such as data management for high energy physics.
