Photo of Sergio Gutierrez-SantosDr Sergio Gutiérrez-Santos has received an Alumni of Excellence Award from his alma mater University Carlos III of Madrid. This recognition is awarded to the recent alumnus (graduated in the last 3-5 years) with the most remarkable professional development as selected by a reviewing board with members of the most recognised Spanish universities and companies; and is announced in a ceremony chaired by the President of Madrid, Dame Esperanza Aguirre, DBE. The board praised Dr Gutiérrez-Santos' excellent and interdisciplinary research career, that includes positions in industry (Nokia, Intel) and in academia (UC3M, BBK).
