it2llogo.jpgiTalk2Learn is a 3M€ collaborative project funded by the EC 7th Framework Call 8 (FP7-ICT-2011-8) that was launched in November 2010. By the end of its 3-year duration theiTalk2Learn project will have developed a platform to support 5-11 year old students learning mathematics. The platform will combine structured and exploratory learning activities. Relying on state-of-the-art machine learning methods, intelligent components will be able to provide adaptive feedback and recommendations. Last, but not least, the platform will enable learners to communicate and interact more naturally via rich intuitive user interfaces leveraging direct manipulation and voice recognition. It is from the potential of the latter in particular that the project takes its short name iTalk2Learn.
