JISC has provided additional funding to extend the APT STAIRS project, to which LKL's Tim Neumann contributes. The team is now working with the University of London's External Programme to explore the introduction of new technologies using the APT model.

APT STAIRS logoThe project's simple step-by-step approach, the APT model, helps change online working behaviours to enhance learning experiences through collaboration. The aim of the follow-up project is to explore the use of new collaborative tools in the context of the University of London's distance education programmes delivered through the External System, the world's oldest distance learning programme.

The success of the APT STAIRS Project has caught the attention of the media, with articles published in the PDFGuardian (twice, actually), Times Higher and the ALT-Newsletter. Please consult the APT website for the first stage project report and further information.

Further reports and videos featuring demonstrator leaders and their experience with Google Docs will be published on the site in the coming months.
