Dr Lesley Gourlay (IOE Academic Writing Centre), LKL's Dr Martin Oliver and Stephen Pickles (IOE Newsam Library) have been awarded £99,536 by JISC as part of the ëDeveloping Digital Literacies' initiative.

Entitled Digital Literacies as a Postgraduate Attribute, this will be a two-year project focusing on institutional research and development around this complex theme. The project is sponsored internally by Mary Stiasny, and will be run in close collaboration with the Students' Union. The project team will conduct in-depth qualitative research throughout next academic year, in order to better understand student practices and development needs in digitally-mediated contexts of study. The second year will consist of four pilot studies, focusing on different groups of students and digital practices / interfaces.
