We are pleased to announce an exciting new series of specialised professional development short courses in Media and ICT Education, all taking place at the London Knowledge Lab during the spring/summer term of 2012.

These specialised courses offer learning and developmental opportunities drawn from the range of practice and policy areas active at the IOE and include sessions such as "Making Computer Games in the Classroom", "Animation in the Classroom" and "Classroom Video Production and Performing Arts".

Making Computer Games in the Classroom
7^th March 2012
This practical course will introduce Immersive Education's MissionMaker software, as a creative tool for developing children's media literacy, and as a way to bring together art, music, drama and creative writing in the classroom.

Animation in the Classroom
28^th March 2012
This course will explore the power of animation to bring together a range of art forms and media practices in the classroom 

Classroom Video and the Performing Arts
25^th April 2012
This course will explore accessible, practical approaches to film-making in the curriculum, which bring together an understanding of the grammar of moving images with skills of performance on screen.
