London Knowledge Lab Open Evening 2008
Opening address: Rt. Hon Charles Clarke MP
We are delighted to welcome Charles Clarke to our event this year: Charles has long been a champion of technology enhanced learning, and was the Secretary of State responsible for the Harnessing Technology strategy (2005), the first cross-sector strategy for technology in education in the world.
The open day will give all a chance to catch up on LKL's many new projects as well as meet up with our new researchers (and old ones!). This year's event will focus on three topics:
- Mainstreaming research
How we take the lessons from research into education policy and teaching practice.
- Crossing divides
War stories and beneficial outcomes from the challenges of interdisciplinarity.
- Making things
LKL has added some fascinating projects involved in building things as well as software.
All welcome.
Please register to help us with planning for refreshments.
If you cannot come in person, you can participate online via web conference.
