Learning Technologies Unit Seminar: Learncasting Allan Carrington University of Adelaide Another new term enters the learning technology arena: Learncasting is defined as "the act or practice of delivering instructional or academic support content designed for delivery using the subscription model". By default, Learncasting uses multimedia to include imagery and text as well as audio. Returning from Educause 2005 in Orlando as a podcast correspondent, Allan Carrington will address cognitive, pedagogic and practical issues of Learncasting, getting behind its theory and designing an outlook on future applications. The seminar will leave room for discussion. Allan Carrington is an Instructional Designer at the University of Adelaide. He has just won a Live Online Award for Creativity in Synchronous Design.
