The impact of emerging technology is already being felt across
the learning landscape. This symposium is an opportunity to hear
from experts in the field, and explore what the future holds for
built environment education and how we as leaders and educators
can shape it.

Futuresscape08 presents renowned keynote speakers, hands-on
workshops, as well as open debate and more informal networking
opportunities to meet with peers and potential partners.

Issues under investigation range from curriculum change, to
school design and future technology evolutions. An emphasis on
opportunities for learning through CAD modelling, embedded
technologies and hand-held devices will be explored in practical
sessions. An artists' showcase will profile recent collaborations
between creative practitioners, architecture and new technologies.

Futurescape08 is led by the Architecture Centre Network and
CABE, with academic partner, London Knowledge Lab (Birkbeck
and Institute of Education). The symposium's outcomes will focus
on strong, cross-sector knowledge sharing that investigates and
tests future learning opportunities for the built environment
sector offered by emerging technologies.
