Last year a media production company based in Nairobi approached the Centre for the Study of Children Youth and Media. They were exploring ways in which they could evaluate television programmes they were making for home viewing aimed at top primary aged children in Kenya (and potentially Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana). They were also keen to explore the potential of interactive technologies to support the programmes.

I carried out the first evaluation of a set of pilot programmes and am now embarking on a larger process of evaluating the first year of broadcasting. It has been really exciting and I would really like to discuss what is happening with others and build my ideas for the second stage which begins early in 2009.
