thumb-events_08.pngAn LKL Maths-Art seminar

This will be a practical, interactive workshop and presentation by Mark
Bolitho and members of the British Origami Society. The presentation
will cover recent developments in origami and present some of the projects Mark has worked on. It will also review how origami techniques have been adopted in applied design from architecture to product design.

Because this is a hands-on event, we are starting early to allow plenty
of time for practical work. The first workshop will start at 5pm, come
early if you can, or join in later if you can't!

MARK BOLITHO has been a full-time origami designer since 2004. He works
with commercial and public sector clients to produce origami designs
that meet commercial and artistic briefs. Clients include advertising
and design companies, publishers and academic institutions. Mark has
worked as an origami demonstrator throughout the world, and has been an
invited guest speaker at international origami events. Mark is presently
the General Secretary of the British Origami Society. For more
information, see creaselightning.

The BRITISH ORIGAMI SOCIETY exists to promote the practice and enjoyment of origami, and to develop origami education for children and adults. It publishes a bi-monthly magazine, maintains a library, and organises national and local origami meetings.
