Public Service Reform: Principles for improving the education system Print
Location:
LKL Auditorium
Host/Speaker:
Richard Steer

Date and Time:
Monday, 11 June 2007, 12:30 - 14:00

The UK government has produced a new model of public service reform.

  • Does the model work for education?
  • Have we really moved beyond top-down performance management?
  • What principles should underpin an alternative approach to improvement in education?

This seminar will examine the government's new model of Public Service Reform and what it means for education, and invite discussion of ideas for an alternative approach.  A draft copy of the report by Frank Coffield, Gemma Moss, Richard Steer, Anna Vignoles and Carol Vincent will be sent a few days in advance to all who register for this seminar, the task of which is to improve the quality of the argument.

Sandwich lunch provided.  Attendance is free, but places are limited.  Please register if you would like to attend this event, by contacting Louise Wilson: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
