Are you using web 2.0 in education (or trying to)? We want to hear your story: Planet and APT STAIRS are leading a community slot at the Online Conference next Wednesday, 23rd April: 2.30-3.30pm. We will review and discuss case studies highlighting real-life experiences from using - or trying to use - participatory technologies (aka web 2.0). If you have a case study to share, please read the details on the Planet blog. We are interested in illustrative incidents - not only those where everything went well. Remember - failure is often a better teacher than success. Planet (Pattern Language Network) is a multi-institutional project funded under the JISC Users and Innovation Programme. The project will develop a system to support a community of HE practitioners, who are using Web 2.0 in assessment, learning and teaching, to capture and share their examples of good practice as patterns. LKL's Yishay Mor is the lead technical partner on the project. APT STAIRS - Appropriate and Practical Technologies for Students, Teachers, Administrators & Researchers - is working with Google to evaluate the potential of Google Docs within the UK Higher Education sector. LKL's Tim Neumann is the project's pedagogy coordinator. RSVP: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=11643422898 |
