Digital interventions for dyscalculia and low numeracy
Thursday, 01 May 2008
A research team led by LKL's Diana Laurillard has been successful in obtaining Becta funding of £50,000 to carry out research on teacher-customisable personalized software for learners with dyscalculia and other forms of low numeracy, within a collaborative context for SEN teachers.

The testing will be carried out in schools with experienced teachers, and building on the work of the 'Harrow Dyscalculia Project'. One of the colloborating teachers, Ronit Bird, has recently published 'The Dyscalculia Toolkit' (Paul Chapman, 2007). The project will run from April 2008 to March 2009.
