The Academy of Social Sciences has conferred the award of Academician on Professor Richard Noss, co-director of LKL, together with four other IOE professors. The award recognises those who have made a major and distinguished contribution to the social sciences.The Academy of Social Sciences promotes social sciences in the United Kingdom for the public benefit. It is composed of Individual academicians and learned societies such as the British Educational Research Association and the British Psychological Society. Academicians are distinguished scholars and practitioners from academia and the public and private sectors.
