CoMo: Supporting collaborative group work using mobile phones in distance education Mobile learning and online distance education have both benefited from the increasing sophistication of pedagogical practices and technical developments over the last number of years. However, there has been a lack of research into the inter-relationships between them and what this means for course designers in both spaces. The CoMo project investigates this issue through the development of collaborative group work activities for mobile learners in distance education. In particular, the project focuses on how collaborative activities can be enhanced through the use of mobile phones and in what contexts this occurs. It further investigates how reflective practice can be supported through this collaboration.
