The LTU Survey Server hosts a simple online survey system. It can be used for several kinds of data collection, such as end-of-term surveys, research questionnaires and opinion polls. You can create your own questions and answer sets, view the results on-screen, or export them as a compatible data file for further analysis with SPSS, Excel, or similar packages.
Applying for an online survey hosted on the LTU Survey Server
Contact the LTU. Please specify the title and purpose of your survey or questionnaire.
We offer two service levels for the LTU Survey Server:
- Editor access only
You will have full editor access for one or more surveys, enabling you to design questions and answers autonomously.
- This service level is available to all IOE staff for any purpose.
- If your survey is not related to teaching and learning activities, we cannot provide any further support.
- Full survey creation service (subject to availability)
The LTU will recreate your survey online, based on an existing survey or list of questions. Upon completion, you will get full editor access.
- This service level is only available if the survey is related to teaching and learning activities. We regret that the LTU's remit currently does not include research support.

- Mandatory and voluntary answers
- Dependencies allow questions to be hidden or required based upon answers to previous questions
- Single-page or multi-page view of survey
- Results shown as bar graphs and exported in CSV format for Excel, allowing copy & paste for SPSS
- Filtering of on-screen results
- Surveys are public, hidden, password-protected, or by invitation only
- Public or private viewing of results
- Fully anonymous submissions possible
