EvaluationsComparison of Blackboard 9.1 and Moodle 2.0Published in August 2010 This report supplies a brief comparison of the Blackboard and Moodle virtual learning environments (VLE), more specifically a comparison of Blackboard 9.1 and Moodle 2.0. The report aims to focus on the functional aspects of each VLE and how these are perceived from a usability and pedagogical viewpoint.
TQEF ReportsProject #1: Pedagogical TemplatesThis project aimed to create templates for the integration of technology into learning and teaching, based on practitioners' experience at the IoE and a selective literature review. Seven pedagogical course models have been identified and developed into templates.
Project #2: Staff DevelopmentThis project aimed to develop materials and activities for the integration of technology into learning and teaching. Work presented in this document is based on selected reviews of current literature and also similar experiences from other Higher Education institutions (HEI), as well as an internal e-learning training needs analysis.
Project #3: Evaluation ToolkitsThis project reviewed evaluation resources available for practitioners which are applicable to online and mixed-mode courses. The main objective of the final report is to provide an overview of practical evaluation resources for IoE academics who are currently using technology in their courses so as to facilitate the integration of evaluative practices into e-learning courses.
