We are introducing the new Bloomsbury Learning Environment (BLE) at the
IOE, which is based on the popular open-source platform Moodle.
This session is a basic Moodle induction for all staff, presented in a
workshop format. We will address the fundamental principles of Moodle
and look at the most common functions.
After a walk-through of the general BLE and a discussion of the student
enrolment process, you will go through small activities to learn how to:
- upload and create resources,
- arrange resources on your programme/module site,
- create new activities, including:
- discussion forum
- announcements
- calendar
- manage activities,
- handle assignments,
- monitor students.
The workshop will finish with a Q&A phase, where participants can explore the new BLE.
