We are introducing the new Bloomsbury Learning Environment (BLE) at the IOE, which is based on the popular open-source platform Moodle. 

This session is a basic Moodle induction for all staff, presented in a workshop format. We will address the fundamental principles of Moodle and look at the most common functions.

After a walk-through of the general BLE and a discussion of the student enrolment process, you will go through small activities to learn how to:

  • upload and create resources, 
  • arrange resources on your programme/module site,
  • create new activities, including: 
    • discussion forum 
    • announcements
    • calendar
  • manage activities, 
  • handle assignments,
  • monitor students.

The workshop will finish with a Q&A phase, where participants can explore the new BLE.
