This is a useful tool for course tutors who would like to release content based on a predetermined set of rules.  The rules may vary from availability, date and time, individual users and group users, scores or attempts on a Gradebook item, or the review status of another content item.

You can choose to use either the "Simple Adaptive Release" or "Advanced Adaptive Release".

To start using Adaptive Release:
Control Panel > select Content area which holds the content item you identified > click Adaptive Release > complete the criteria - date restrictions, users, groups, gradebook items > click Submit.

To use Advanced Adaptive Release:
Control Panel > click name of Content area which holds the content item you identified > click Manage > click Adaptive Release: Advanced > Add Rule > give your Rule a name > Submit.

You can build your Rule by using these options: Date, Group membership, Gradebook item, and Review Status.

Note that ALL criteria within a rule must be met before student users are able to access the content item.
