VeSeL on Radio Mang’elete
The following is the news item that was aired by Radio Mang’elete in the evening of 8th Feb when we had the launch. The University of Nairobi recorded the Kikamba version with one of the iPods.

The Mtito Andei Development Initiative has benefited from the assistance of a partnership involving University of Nairobi and some institutions from overseas through the Village E-science for life (VeSeL). Speaking during the occassion, Prof. Timothy Waema who is a lecturer at University of Nairobi said that this initiative is aimed at benefiting the community including farmers and the schools through accessing the internet. Thanking Prof. Waema, the chairperson of MDI Ms. Christine Kiilu said that the community will greatly benefit. On behalf of the head of Mtito Andei area, Mr. Pascal Kyule, the Chief, expressed gratitude for the assistance saying that the project will assist the entire community of Mtito Andei.

Shirika la mtito andei development initiative lilifanikiwa kwa msaada wa taraklishi kutoka kwa ushirika wa chuo kikuu cha Nairobi na vyuo vingine vya ng’ambo kupitia kwa ushirika ujulikanao kama village E-science for life ( VESSEL)
Akiongea wakati wa kutoka ufadhili huo Prof. Timothy Waema ambaye ni mhadhiri wa chuo kikuu cha Nairobi alisema kuwa mpango huo umelenga kufaidi wakazi wa eneo ili wa mashinani hasa wakulima na shule kupitia utoaji huduma za internet.
Akimshukuru prof waema mwenyekiti wa shirika hilo la M.D.I. BI Christine kiilu alisema kuwa wakaazi wa eneo hilo watanufaika sana.
Akiuzidua mpango huo kwa naibu wa mkuu wa tarafa ya mtito andei bwana pascal kyule alishukuru kwa msaada huo akisemakuwa ni mwangaza kwa watu wa Mtito Andei kwa jumla.
